*hopefully I'm not jinxing anything here*
Aug. 22nd, 2006 10:30 amAfter post after post about the dire nature of my pupper's condition, I'm saying good stuff for a change.
She did develop a hot spot last week, but she seems to be responding well to the antibiotics. The area is much less angry looking and I think is healing up.
Also. I wasn't sure if it was my imagination or not, but over the last few days she's seemed much steadier on her feet. When I work with her back legs, I've been getting push back from them. She seems to be getting up from a reclined to a standing position easier. I've been noticing sometimes when she stands, she's got more of a proper stance rather than her back limbs splayed kind of awkwardly. Not all the time, but occassionally. Which is more than never.
So we had another acupuncture appointment this morning. The vet was very happy with the responses that she was seeing. So my perception of improvement isn't just my imagination. :) Also the people at the clinic act like they think she's almost as cute and sweet as I think she is. (That doesn't have anything to do with anything. It just makes me happy.)
A few weeks ago, I thought I might have to say good-bye to Sheba. Now it seems like she's picked up again. She's a tough little thing.
