This was both fascinating and lovely! I especially appreciated the way in which you wove the beginning of their union together with their deaths using the words "Breathe. Rest. Sleep." I was deeply touched by your story and thank you for writing it. There aren't enough good Jacob/Selmak fics. You should write more!
