(no subject)

Why oh why do some sites insist on having little popup ads or videos that open up automatically? Do they not realize that some of us surf from time to time at work and that having a voice suddenly talk about the Food Network or whatever is not so pleasing?

I don't feel too guilty* about websurfing at the office because it's a fairly informal environment and I get my work done. Still, I could do without the auditory evidence that I might be looking at something that's not work-related.

*But I do feel some guilt. Because a little smidge of guilt is just a part of my personality.

Can you add a pop-up blocker on your work computer? Pop-up cop is a good one and it is free. And the nice thing about that is you can disable it for specific sites. I keep the Gameday from MLB open at work whenever the Red Sox are playing. (Plus listening to the games on my XM radio) I had to disable pop-ups on that website.

I do have pop-up blocker, but some of the stuff has still activates. You've inspired me to look a little more closely, now, and I see that it's set on "medium." I'll try setting it to "high."

Thanks.
