I bit the bullet and and bought an Airport Express yesterday. A bit pricey, but I'm now wireless for my home internet. Which, I have to say, is pretty spiffy. And it reduces the number of cords snaking out of my laptop by one.

It allows you to go wireless with printing, internet, itunes, etc.

At the moment, I just use it for internet since I don't have a stereo or printer to connect to. What you (I) do is connect the cable modem to Airport Express which then allows me to get onto the internet with out the MacBook being tethered to the modem. Basically you just plug the hardware into the wall, then load the utility that comes on the included disc--which then walks you through setting up your network--and you're good to go.
