I dropped my landline phone some time ago because I didn't want to pay for two phone services anymore. So, I haven't heard the traditional sound of a ringing phone at my house for well over a year. And yet. When I'm running the vacuum cleaner, I still sometimes think I hear the phone ringing. I have to remind myself that there's no phone for me to hear ring. Heh.
