I feel like I should post something just to at least sort stay in practice. I read regularly every day, just haven't seemed to have the energy to do posts of my own. So, how about something brief and not terribly significant.

I remain intrigued by Revenge and am anxious to see how they wrap things up for the season. [livejournal.com profile] aurora_novarum: Did you catch the monte cristos reference in this week's episode? :) (if you're still watching).

It's amazing how I can go back and forth from sympathy to, uh, non-sympathy for so many characters. I'm kind of back to rooting Emily/Amanda on again after this last episode.

1. I've been working on a blog post about my phone fear (among other things), but it seemed a little early expose my neuroses like that. Instead I posted something about life with a finnish spitz

2.Revenge continues to intrigue.

So I saw the advertisements for Revenge in the weeks leading up to the new season, but they didn't entice me at all so I just ignored it. But then people on my flist started talking about how good it was. I remained skeptical because I didn't care for the preseason promos.

I finally broke down last night and watched the premier on OnDemand.

I retract my skepticism. It was really, really good and I can't wait to catch up on the episodes. (Yay OnDemand!) Good acting. Really interesting premise. Really intriguing start. I do wonder, if this makes it to a second season, do they keep the same protagonist and go forward with her life, or if they bring in a new avenger with a new cause?

: I'm choosing to blame you, since your post was the final tipping point. Or possibly thank you.

One of my favorite shows ever is WKRP in Cincinatti. For some reason, today I started thinking about the scene where Venus teaches a potential high school dropout about the atom. It's one of my favorite scenes ever and I was happy to see that someone posted it on youtube.

I heard from two widely disparate sources what an awful show Body of Proof was. Overwhelmed by curiosity, I just watched it on OnDemand. It may, in fact, be one of the most ridiculously wretched episodes of television that I've ever watched.

The thing about watching A) a lot of DiscoveryID and B) Dr G: Medical Examiner is that you watch a show like Body of Proof and say over and over "What? That's not how it works." The show may lack verisimilitude, but at least it has unappealing characters.

Can you tell that I agree with ones who evaluated it as bad?

Apologies to anyone who may have watched it and liked it. I found it remarkable for all the wrong reasons.

Well, sure. Why not?

Rules:
- Bold all of the following TV shows which you've ever seen 3 or more episodes of in your lifetime.
- underline a show if you're positive you've seen every episode of it.

it would seem I watch a lot of tv )

Once upon a time, TruTV was called CourtTV and they had all kinds of interesting crime/procedural shows. Then they changed. They still have Forensic Files, which I love. And Dominick Dunn's show which is pretty interesting. And they occasionally rerun episodes of The Investigators late at night. But the rest of the evening programing seems to have become extreme police chases, repo shows, and eternal spring break shows. ("Not reality, actuality. *blech*) It makes me sad. I miss the CourtTV of old.

I watched The Good Wife for the second week in a row. I think this one's going to be a keeper for me. I found the episode to be very absorbing. I'm going to have to remember to find time to catch on Hulu the first episodes that I missed.

So far it looks like the characters are good ones with varying shades of grey and complexity. And the relationship between Julianna Margulies' and Chris Noth's characters seems very interesting. I can't decide yet whether I should be rooting for them to ultimately fully reconcile or not. I'm intrigued to see where they going to go with all of it.
