There's probably nobody on my flist who wouldn't have seen this in the community announcement, but all the same we have a new prompt up at
one_prompt. I even have a story idea for it. I hope others are intrigued enough to come up with stories to add. In spite of the fact that I only got my story for the last prompt half finished, I'm feeling optimistic that I'll get this one done. For one thing it will be a shorter story.
Of course I thought the last one would only be about 1500-2000 words. I think it's currently at @ 4,000 and is only about half done. I'm determined to get it done eventually though. It's a pretty silly premise, and involves crimes against science at the center of the plot, but I've fallen in love with the idea of it.
I also had a plot bunny hit me last night for a Quantum Leap/SG-1 crossover. It's a fairly ambitious idea and I'm not sure that I'm skilled enough to pull off the story that I want to do, but I'm hoping to build up enough momentum to give it a try.
And, I'd like to get back to finishing up my rougher than rough draft of my FiAD story and seeing if I can make anything of it.
Now all that's required is the gumption to get to work on them and not let myself be distracted by shiny things.
