Revenge (of the new television season)

So I saw the advertisements for Revenge in the weeks leading up to the new season, but they didn't entice me at all so I just ignored it. But then people on my flist started talking about how good it was. I remained skeptical because I didn't care for the preseason promos.

I finally broke down last night and watched the premier on OnDemand.

I retract my skepticism. It was really, really good and I can't wait to catch up on the episodes. (Yay OnDemand!) Good acting. Really interesting premise. Really intriguing start. I do wonder, if this makes it to a second season, do they keep the same protagonist and go forward with her life, or if they bring in a new avenger with a new cause?

I had time to watch the beginning of the next episode while I was home for lunch and was very sad that I had to stop and go back to work.

It's always a nice to be pleasantly surprised by a show. :)

I just like it because Madeline Stowe is fabu and omg, Kyle Valenti! Ok, not Kyle, but I can't remember what his actual name is. But he's growed up purty.

I can see this going on for two seasons, but you're right, it's got to have a certain arc, or it's just going to drag.

I like it! Watched the first four episodes on demand this weekend, all in one sitting. I'm hoping that the "revenge" concept doesn't get too played out. I can already see that it will get old, where Emily/Amanda will need to drag some of her cons over more than one episode, hit some snags, etc. Love the cast, though.

I've been more and more impressed with how Madeleine Stowe is playing Victoria. One minute I'm starting to feel sympathetic and that she might be as much a victim in everything too, the next we get a glimpse of how complicit and heinous she was in how it all went down. I can't wait to see how the whole picture winds up looking.
