For short cut purposes, every book that we publish is assigned a "book code." Actually two of them. One is based on the book identification number (it's not just people that are reduced to numbers, books are too!). The other book code is made up by taking the first three letters of the authors last name and the first three letters of the book title to make up a six letter code. Based on this formula, the book code for one of our books is GOOGOO. It makes me snicker every time I see it.
