Jan. 5th, 2009 10:11 amWith my Week of Sloth officially over, I'm back in the office. :(
I really hope I get to retire someday, because I think it'll be awesome. It'll be just like last week: Summer Vacation forever! Or if I were to win, say, the Publishers Clearinghouse Sweepstakes that I never enter, that'd be excellent.
It's not that I dislike my job. It's just that it's nice to be at home reading or writing or watching movies or playing with the puppy. In my week off I did manage to:
*Put together a new tv stand in anticipation of the new occupant for it later this week. It looks nice. And I didn't even have any pieces left over. Well, except for that one thing that I couldn't find any mention of in the instructions or list of items.
*Get many words written in my new fic. I'm a little concerned that they may not be all that good, but right now I'm holding to the "words are written and building momentum" mode.
*Be ridiculously happy that the puppy suddenly turned into something of suggle-uffagus in the past week. He curled up and napped on my lap several times in the last few days.
*Be mildly amused at the DW fandom who is much better than I am at looking at publicity stills and immediately determining that the new Doctor is all wrong and will suck. Which, you know, maybe he is and he will, but it'll be a lot easier to judge that once the episodes are written and seen. I'm delaying all apocolyptic thoughts until then. ;)
