Jul. 21st, 2011 02:44 pmYesterday afternoon, I think it was in the midst of my boss and I both talking in some form about having the "don't wannas," I made the statement along the lines that being an adult just isn't much fun. Somebody else nodded. My boss offered emphatic agreement--going so far as to say the only good thing about is that you can order a drink if you want.
Another co-worker offered the rebuttal of "but you don't have to ask permission to do stuff." Which, frankly, didn't get a whole lot of traction at that point in the day.
Today, co-worker looked at me and said that she had thought of another good thing about being an adult. "You can have ice cream for dinner if you want."
Having actually had ice cream for dinner a couple of days ago, I do have to concede that point.
