What a difference a few days can make.

Wednesday night the pupper was sick and immobile and I thought it might be the beginning of the end. Thursday she still was not interested in food and didn't seem to be very interested in anything else either. I stopped off at the vet's office and picked up some i/d food that had been used one other time when Sheba had had some severe gastric distress. I waved a little bit under her nose and her whole demeanor changed. She ate that up and looked around for more. She's started eating the kibble that I've reintroduced. And she'd been barking at me for food at mealtime for her or mealtime for me when she thinks she needs some food too. And she's been moving better too. She's uncoordinated and that will probably remain unchanged to some extent--especially when she's on the uncarpated floors, but she seems stronger. Yesterday she attempted to do her crazy spinning move that she does when she's excited. She lost her balance, but seemed undaunted by that.

I'm still mentally preparing myself that "that" time is probably going to be coming sooner than I would hope for. But for now *knock on wood* she seems to be on an upswing. My heart is approximately 100 pounds lighter than it was four days ago.

Also, in non dog-related news: it's really hot here again. It's like it's....Summer or.....something. I dread what my next electric bill is going to look like.

Thank you. :) I'm going to look into something like that to see if I can make it a little easier for her.

The last one we got was the highest yet. :-(

That's good to hear, but also a bit sad. :-(

a raw food diet may actually really help - it sure helped Tammy's arthritic knees.

and YAY! for improvements ;).
