Will this day ever end???

At 8:30 this morning somebody at the office asked my why I wasn't in line for HP. I said because it doesn't officially start until 9:00 pm. He said that there were already a few people lined up at Borders. That, to me, is just a little extreme. (And I'm a person who spent plenty of nights at the fieldhouse when I was a student in the name of getting good basketball seats.) I'm not planning to leave for the store until 8:30 tonight. If that pushes me farther back in line, so be it. Past experience tells me that once the selling starts, they move people through pretty efficiently.

I think I'll take my laptop along and see if I can get a story that I've been working on finished up while also enjoying the festive and anticipatory air at the store. And try to avoid having too many things jump off the shelves and into my arms to buy along with the planned book purchase.

Writing a new story?! *perks*

Heh, I just got invited to a picnic for Saturday, and realized hmm...this may cut into valuable Harry Potter reading time. Hmmmm. Waiting for UPS truck to come. :-D

Yeah. It's turning into a tale of possibly out-of-control epic length.

My goal--after this story--is to create one that's of ten or fewer pages.

Here's the deal by me at least. There's a big Barnes & Noble two blocks away and, based on the last book, that will be a madhouse. But, also based on that time, there will be a stack of books for sale at the Ralphs across the parking lot with no line at all. Try a supermarket near a book store.

My hubby went at 11:00 to get our wrist band at Borders, and then we got there at 7:00 to people watch. It has been our tradition the last few Potter book releases, and I always enjoy it. Hope it ends the way you want it to!
