Speaking of documentaries...
Aug. 8th, 2007 01:50 pm...okay you probably weren't speaking of documentaries, but I've got one on my mind.
Once upon a time, I was in love with a little show called Buffy the Vampire Slayer. I watched obsessively but didn't talk about it with anyone because a) I assumed no one else watched it, and b) I usually hold my obsessions tight. There was the internet, but that scared me so I stayed away from online discussions. Then one day I tiptoed into the (now defunct) official posting board for the show: The Bronze. And there I stayed because it was full of really terrific people: all of whom were smarter, funnier, and more talented than I am. And one of the smart, funny, and talented ones has made a documentary about the place! I'm not in it, but I know or have met most of the ones who are. If you've ever been part of an internet community, I bet you'll recognize the kinds of people, situations, and experiences the participants are talking about. Details are as follows:
