I caught a little bit of Clash of the Choirs last night and tonight. I had no idea Nick Lachey was so adorable! He really won me over. Yay for Team Lachey. For once a winner was someone that I was rooting for. I think that may be the first time that's happened since season one TAR

I'd just known him as Mr Jessica Simpson, but I'd never watched any of the things he's been in. He's very endearing.

I always liked him on Newlyweds as he just seemed really down to earth. Someone you could just hang out and have a few beers with. There was little "celebrity" about him. I was surprised the marriage lasted as long as it did because he was always annoyed at how expensive everything she wanted to deal with was. "Do we really need this?"

Yay for Team Lachey. I was won over, too. I admit I've liked him for a while. I saw part of season 1 of The Newlyweds, and he and his brother hung out together and were so adorable trying to fix things around the house.

I really don't like the competitive reality shows all that much, but this one was a bit fun to watch.

I'm really glad my favored team won. :-)

His really seemed the most like a choir, and when he sang with them it felt like he was singing with them not treating them as backup singers. I thought he was very sweet.

I wish there had been more singing and less filler.

Yeah, we actually recorded the show and then skipped over all that stuff for the most part. (I watched the first parts by myself first, so I saw it all, but got a bit smarter when watching again with lyraeinne.) Last night, we watched "live," but what I actually did was pause it for ten minutes or so, watch the show and skip over commercials and BS, then pause it again. They could easily have streamlined this show and there was no need at all to repeat all that stuff about the choirs tonight.

But still...I enjoyed the performances for the most part, except We Are the Champions which was horrible and also that "I got into a car accident. Please, Jesus, help me because I am such a dumbass..." song. I think that song is the worst song I have ever heard in my life...just... No words for how horrible that song was except for the most horrible rendition of We Are the Champions which almost made my ears bleed.

And I agree about Nick singing with his choir. I really didn't know that song, but now I'm actually tempted to buy his CD or at least look him up on iTunes. hehe I also agree that his choir seemed more like how I thought a choir should sound--more together or something. I think that's what bugged me so much about so many of the other choirs--the "lead singer/backup singers" thing.

Nick's face when they won was awesome. I really got the impression that he wanted to win for his choir as much as anything. I still can't believe he won. I voted online, but I kept trying to call until about 3 a.m. and I got a busy signal every time--even when I hit "redial" over and over and over. I never did get through.

I didn't vote at all the first two nights because I watched it too late and voting was already over by then.
