I think that every time I watch Dr. Horrible I love it just a little bit more. Among other things, it pulls off the neat feat of becoming funnier for me with every viewing. Yes, even Act III.

I've seen some really elaborate interpretations and deep readings. And I keep thinking: The head of the Evil League of Evil is a horse! Are we really supposed to be taking this all that seriously?

I think people are taking it too seriously. To me, it was a parody of the superhero/supervillain genre. And since we are following the story through the villain, it's going to have a tragic ending of sorts. I thought it was fun :)

If people are having fun getting into deep psychological motivations, more power to them. I'm just thinking that this was intended as a lot more tongue in cheek than his other stuff.
