Okay, all you people who have a post at the head of your journals listing your fics, etc. How do you do that? Do you just give it a future date to keep it at the top?
Technically, yes. Edit the date to 2018 or 2222 or whatever, and it will always be top of the list.
However, when you edit the date, you should also click on the box hat is labeled "date out of order" so that you won't get plaintive queries about subsequent posts being dated earlier than that one. It means that your post won't show up on your flists (I think), but you don't really need that, anyway.
Mind you, I did mine over a year ago and may be mixing things up entirely... :)
Yes. I posted it with a future date. (I set mine with my birthday, 2010. Gee, that seemed so far away when I first did it. I probably need to "redate" it sometime).
Same as what fig said. Click the date out of order box. (Otherwise LJ gets cranky every time you make another post).
It won't show up on flists with the future date (or maybe it will on that future date, hee!), but if you want to announce you've done it, you can always make a "regular" post and link to it. :-D
aurora and fig are correct. If you click the out of order box, LJ won't have fits whenever you post.
Also, it will not show up on your flist reading lists until the actual date checked. It will show up at the top if you look at your own journal entries so that will make it easier to edit.
(One suggestion, maybe put a hard return to space out the fic so the titles and explanations aren't all bunched together. For some reason, it doesn't seem as cluttered when you have the vids listed. Maybe it's the explanations.)
