It's come to my attention that there's a grave oversight in my earlier poll. I neglected to include cookies as a possible dessert. I am deeply ashamed. To make up for my neglect, I offer a follow-up cookie-specific poll.

Cracks up. I actually like oatmeal cookies sans raisins. And then of course there's cake mix cookies. I've never heard of sour cream cookies.

When we would visit, somehow my grandma almost always managed to be pulling the last pan of sour cream cookies out of the oven just as we arrived. I'm not quite sure how to describe them. They've got a smooth flavor that's maybe, kinda-sorta in the sugar cookie family.

They're very nostalgic for me. Making them always reminds my of my grandparents. Although the ones I make are nowhere near the quality of grandma's.

of course i'm partial, but my absolute favorites are oatmeal cranberry, PB and sugar. my childhood favorite was hands down snickerdoodles. in fact, i use my mother's recipe.
