Well, the cable company's insidious plot to gobble up every last cent of any of my disposable income continues apace. As of lunchtime, I've added a dvr box to list of things their billing me for. I'm wide new vistas are about to open up in my life.

(Actually, I'm pretty excited to have it. 21st century, here I come!)
