The thing about reading through one's older fics (and by interesting, I mean sometimes unsettling) is seeing things I could have done different/better/ etc.

Sometimes I see something and say "hey, that part worked better than I remembered." I find that preferable to "huh, I'm not sure that after all."

It's interesting. In an uneasy sort of way. And hopefully useful in the long run.
