I didn't see that coming. My expectation was that Declan and Charlotte would be one of the couples to get a happy ending. Now I'm sad. Unless they do something manipulative and make it so that Declan dying is some sort of con. Which makes no sense, but, I liked Declan. (Although. If they're really doing The Count of Monte Cristo and Declan matches up to the character that I was thinking he does, I suppose it could be part of a con.) I also like Nolan, so he better wiggle out of this somehow.
Mark Watches is doing the The West Wing and I'm getting a kick out of watching him watch episodes for the first time. It had been a while since I watched and it's kind of fun both remembering a) how rapid-fire and lively the dialog is, and b)watching someone experience it for the first time. He's also watching random episodes of Stargate SG-1 have been commissioned and that's been pretty fun too. Supernatural is in the queue for him start watching sometime down the road. I don't really have any interest in that show. From my experience of watching stuff from the sidelines, I can only hope that the Harry Potter and Buffy fandoms have adequately prepared him for dealing with some of the, er, qualities that some of the SPN fans bring to the experience.
