1. Today is one of Tom's doggie daycare days. As we were getting out of the car to go into the building this morning, a couple of firetrucks passed by with sirens going. The chorus of howling that I heard when we went inside immediately after was impressive.

2. When The Good Wife started last year I thought it didn't sound like a very interesting show. Until I started watching and discovered that it's intriguing and well done. And it's just getting better. My boss and I looked at each other this morning and I asked "is it Tuesday yet?" If you're looking for a smart, well-crafted show and haven't sampled it yet, give The Good Wife a try. Complex characters with all sorts of shades. No saints. Ambiguous bad guys. Chicago law and politics. Well acted and written. I think it's one of the best shows on television.

The Good Wife IS SO ONE OF THE BEST SHOWS. And I'm very picky when it comes to legal dramas, and usually don't want to try but for some reason I started with the pilot and got hooked. The characters are complicated. The law is (mostly) right. The plots are intriguing. The acting and writing are top notch.

Here's a cute article in time magazine reviewing it, but apparently you can't read it unless you subscribe or have the app or something. It's in this week's Time.
