*Was planning to spend the weekend buckling down to work on my sg1friendathon story. Unfortunately the seed of an idea that I had when I selected my prompt isn't germinating. This is not looking promising.

*Speaking ficathons and such, I've decided to do something a little different for the summer quarter over at one_prompt. We're doing a "catch-up" and putting all eight prompts that have been used so far up for adoption. I thought it might be fun to give people a chance who missed out on earlier prompts, or didn't get a story finished, or had an idea for a second story to dip their toes back into the pool. If you're an SG1 ficcer and looking for something to do this summer, come check us out.

*While I didn't work on my story this past weekend, I did laze around and continue on my journey through my dvds of one of my all-time favorite shows, Deep Space 9. I do love that show. And I love the kickass Major (now Colonel) Kira a little bit more each time I watch the series. Perfect? No. Awesome? Yes. Like last night when she faced down a number of Romulan war birds basically with attitude and a few outmanned Bajoran ships.

I haven't started my sg1friendathon fic, but it's only a 1000-word minimum. My plotbunny for it is best for a double-drabble length, but I may be able to fluff it out and get close to the minimum if no one's keeping a strict count.
