smg01I completed one last import of posts and comments from LJ to Dreamwidth a few days ago. This morning I pressed the delete button for the LJ account. Everything that I had there should be here, so the records remain intact. All the same, it felt a little like losing an old friend. An old friend that I hadn't talked to in a couple of years, but still.
I'm going to try to check in here more often and maybe look for and jump into a couple more communities that fit my interests. I miss the longer-form posting and commenting that this sort of place allows. (Facebook just isn't the same.) Yet I'm not sure if I can reacquire the skills and habit.
Time will tell.
