Ok, I had no idea that they could arrist you for doing it accedentally! i'm lucky then...I had a pair of sissors in my bag that' I'd forgotten about when I flew like two months after 9/11 and the screener just took them, while the National Gaurd laughed at my embarrassment.
Same here, when the Vegas screener at the airport door on the way to VLB 2001 took my sassy hair stick, nail clippers and tweezers. All pointy and/or sharp. She looked at me with pity, and let me on the plane. This was barely a month after 9/11, and there was no hint of detention, let alone arrest. I find that odd.
Oh, my word. I...just... You know, I can see them taking it from her, and explaining the problem with it. But following taking her through the system? I am glad airports are taking security more seriously. There needs to be sense though, too.
