I've been getting a vivid reminder why I hadn't seriously contemplated moving for the last 10 or so years. Over the weekend I started packing for my move (which looks like it'll probably happen this weekend). I had felt like over the previous weeks that I had purged quite a bit of stuff. Yet now, as I pack, the recurring question that keeps coming to me is "why do I have so much stuff?"

You know, you can hire people to pack for you..... but then they'd see things you might not want them to see... and it can be pricey.... But you don't have to pack if you don't want to....

I am hiring people to move the furniture/heavy stuff for me. But I can't quite bring myself to let others do the packing for me.

I'm a horder too. I've tried to be really ruthless about letting stuff go. I did get rid of quite a bit of stuff. But there was plenty of other stuff that for some reason I just couldn't quite part with. Too much sentimental attachment to too many things. *sigh*

Remember that this is the perfect time to rid yourself of stuff you don't really need anymore. We got rid of tons of stuff in our last two moves. Though with the 3 or 4 moves before the last two, we pretty much just moved stuff that had been in boxes for years.... I have hording issues!

So..when you move in to your new casa are you going to need lots of stuff? You are, aren't you? Need new addy so we can send housewarming stuff. If there's a color scheme we should be aware of - let me know. So exciting! OOH! Do you need help moving? I'd hop on a plane to do some manual labor. :)
