From tvguideonline:

TIT FOR TAT: American Idol judge Randy Jackson was among the 89 million people who saw Janet Jackson's nipple — and he doesn't see what all the fuss is about. "The music business is always crazy and wild and unpredictable, that's why we love it," he tells TV Guide Online. "I think it was great. I think people are making too much of a boob." Filmmaker Spike Lee begs to differ. Speaking at a Kent State University event Tuesday night, Lee criticized Jackson's peep show as a "new low" of attention-getting antics by entertainers.

"A new low of attention-getting"? As opposed to suing a network because they didn't get his consent to change their name to Spike? Please.

Hee! I was pondering the same thing myself.

I've been trying to work out some kind of clever "mountain/mole hill/moral high(low) ground" joke, but it's just not coming. The stupidity of this whole thing isn't even mockable any more.

I've always hated the way Spike portrays women in his movies. I've always gotten the feeling that he doesn't like women very much, as a matter fact. (To be fair, I haven't seen one of his movies in a long time, because I tend not to like them. So this is based on his earlier stuff.) So, it doesn't surprise me that he would have a negative reaction to a boob that he had nothing to do with revealing. Yeah.
