Name that television show

In a fit of, well, avoiding actual work, I decided to create a quiz of my own. Here are ten quotes from various television shows. Can you name the show you name the show that they're from? Can you name the character that says it?

Two quotes are from dramas, one is a classic quote from a reality show, the rest are from 1/2 hour shows. One show is represented twice on the quotes list, making a total of nine tv shows to name. Most of the shows are not-so-current, but could be viewed in syndication or on Nick at Nite or TVLand.

This may be a non-starter, because there are so many choices of television shows out there, but maybe there are a few that have viewing habits over the years that are similar to mine.

Wow. You even know the name of the Taxi episode. I almost never know the ep titles for those. (Though I do actually know the one for #1)

As a possible hint for #3, it could be credited to any or all four of the main characters.

I have no idea if that's the name of the episode. I just know that's the line Alex says to get that response from Jim. I fear that my formative years were deeply warped by watching Taxi.

#1 is the Dick Van Dike show when Laura told the world that Allan was bald and he called her into his office and showed her all of his hair pieces and asked her what he should do with them now that the whole world knows he's bald and she said "there must be some needy bald people"
