I really enjoyed the premier episode of Everybody Hates Chris last week. I'm looking forward to watching again tonight. It's a family comedy that manages to have a sweetness to it without a cavity-inducing sugariness. I genuinely laughed out loud at parts. If you haven't watched it, you might give it a try to see if it's your cup of tea. UPN, 7:00 central, 8:00 eastern.
Also, I saw My Name is Earl for the first time this week. I enjoyed it quite a lot. It'll be interesting to see if the conceit holds up, but I'm enjoying the quirkiness of it at this point. It made me laugh.
Dare I hope that we're seeing a return of comedies that are *gasp* funny?
