Lately I've been thinking it's about time to tiptoe into the world of today and look into getting a dvd recorder. Any of y'all have one? Do you like? Any recommendations?
Do you mean for your computer or as a stand-alone thing to plug into the TV? I've just started looking for one for the TV. They seem too pricey for me at the moment, but maybe I'm just seeing the expensive ones.
I have a DVD Burner on my PC. I've only made one DVD so far, but it seems to work. It came with the Dell PC.
I have one...A Samsung DVD Player/recorder/VCR combo. I quite love mine. THe VCR record quality could be better but the DVD record is amazing. Even on the EP setting it's really fabulous. I've just recently started using the dvd part for timer record and it works slick. I still haven't learned all the tricks as far as marking chapters and such but I knw it can be done along with putting chapter images if wanted. I've also used mine to record vhs to dvd which is pretty nifty.
I would love to get the "moxie box" (dvr) that my cable company offers. It looks very nifty indeed. I just can't justify adding that extra monthly expense these days.
Good to know. Thanks. My beloved Hitachi vcr has been a workhorse for over 15 years. In some ways, I hate to give it up. But lately videotape has become more and more of a hassle.
