Some of the bulbs that I planted last fall are starting to come up. Judging by where they are, I think it's the crocuses. I'm so excited! Also a little perturbed because I don't think it really should be happening until February. It seems like the growing season starts earlier every year. I'm not particularly a fan of long, harsh winters, but I can't help wondering if this is one of those global warming alarms.

Still, I do love to see plants start to come up. As I've been saying ad infinitum: I didn't know gardening was so exciting until I had a garden of my own.

My tulips and other bulbs are showing sprouts as well. I'm worried because it's only Jan. and there has got to be some cold weather in store for us. We usually have at least a month or so of really cold. Just not this year so far. Which is actually fine by me, but I worry about the flowers.
