I think one of the things I'm enjoying most about my spiffy new computer is the dvd player. I popped my Fellowship of the Ring dvd in the other day and saw things that I never really see on my run-of-the-mill television screen. The Mines of Moria look a lot sharper on my computer screen. Plus--if I use headphones--I get the benefit of much better sound.

That's been a fun benefit that I wasn't even looking for.

Isn't technology great! One of the things I like about my laptop is that I can take it into the bedroom (or to a hotel) and watch DVDs in bed! We only have the one DVD player and it lives in the livingroom!

Me too! I took it with me when I went out of town for work a couple of weeks ago and it was so fun to be able to watch my dvds. And I like being able to watch in bed too.

I love watching DVD's on my laptop. You are right about the amazing sound especially with a good sound card installed and clarity. I think it is because the screen is much closer than the typical TV.

Hehe, the first movie I watched on my laptop was Saw. granted, I had seen it in the theatre. It was scarier and more intense.

Ooo, that gives me a great idea. I have the day off tomorrow apart from a Dr visit. Maybe a LoTR marathon is in order.
