In news of the non-news variety. It's hot. We should be getting some relief, though. Friday's high is projected to be only around 95. Ack!

Well it is summer.

Still. It's awfully hot. It's like Africa hot.

I don't think I can be in the army if it's going to be this hot.

Yeah on the radio this morning they were talking about the cold front coming through on Friday to get the temp down to 95 and I questioned if it could actually be called a cold front then. It's been a long time since I can remember a summer like this in the mid-west.

Yeah, maybe we should call it a warm front that replaces a blazingly hot front.

It's not just hot it's humid and that's what is sucking the life out of me. :( I grew up in florida, I moved I shouldn't have to deal with this weather anymore. lol It's still better than snow I guess. At least as long as there is AC.

Heh. In winter I think heat is easier to deal with. In summer I think it's cold that's easier. It's always something....

But it's awfully hot. It's the not cooling down much at night that makes it especially hard for me.

It's been really hard on my flowers. I've lost a few of them since we aren't supposed to water right now since it hasn't rained enough this year. :(

have you tried using graywater at all? we water lots of our flowers with graywater from the laundry (we put the hose into a 5 gallon bucket to drain and it filled 3-4 buckets with one small load! and our washer is sposed to be very very water effishent!) and dishes (i wash them in a blue bin i can dump outside).

the flowers love it and we dont use so much fresh water. oh and all oru soap is safe for flowres it is all from 7th generation so now chemicals or dyes or bleach to hurt the plants.

boo

unfortunatley I have a front loader so that option won't work, but what a great idea!

yours has no hose in back the water goes out of to drain? ours has a hose in back that you poke into the drain in the wall to go out to the spetic tank.

It does, but it wouldn't be easy to use it that way.

no it is not easy at all. i can not even lift the buckets so daddy has to do that! and one load fills a lot of buckets so i have to stay there and pause the washer and call him when the bucket gets filled.

but we dont run out of water and the plants dont die so it is still a good thing! :)
