I've been noticing a few ants here and there in my bathroom, no big deal but enough for me to notice and say "hmmm" to myself. I go home for lunch today and my kitchen sink (which, admittedly, has had some dirty dishes in it waiting to be washed for a few days) is crawling with ants. Teeming would also be a good word for it. Now I kind of feel like things are crawling on me.

So, I stopped at the hardware store on the way back from lunch to get stuff to deal with it. Not a terribly big deal, and I know this will be resolved fairly easily, but,this is yet another reason why being an adult sucks. Dealing with these kind of things myself instead letting my much more competent parents make the problem go away....

It's that time of year. I looked back at some of my entries for this time last year and I was whining about the ants. On the upside, I was whining about them almost two weeks ago this time last year, so either switching my pest control service has worked or they're taking their time and planning for a full-on assault. I'm afeared it's the latter.

And yeah. . . that's what I got the pest control service for, so I can pretend they're my parents. Uh. . . that I pay.
