Dec. 12th, 2008 09:26 am1. I'm listening to the radio this morning and a piece of music just concluded that incorporates Pachelbel's Cannon in D. That, of course, made me think of this Pachelbel rant. (I actually quite like Cannon in D, but I understand why cellists in particular don't.)
2. Tom seems to be recovering well. He's bouncing around like nothing happened. I'm choosing to take that fact that it took me 3-4 minutes to corner him long enough yesterday morning to apply iodine to the wound as a good sign. The wound itself closed up by noon yesterday. I dutifully tried to pick the scab off (the vet recommended it for a day or two so it can continue to drain), but darned if I can get it. At the moment I'm keeping an eye on him and counting on his hardy constitution to stave of infection.
3. I'm ready for spring now. On the bright side, in just over a week the days will start getting longer. They won't get any warmer, but at least the light will last longer.
