I'm slowly making my way through my Freaks and Geeks dvds. Last night I listened to the commentary from execs--including and exec from NBC. It was very interesting and I'm convinced that if Scott Sassa had remained head of NBC, F&G would still be on, and NBC would have remained a much better network than the one it seems to be devolving into.

I've also started the commentary track where Mr. Rosso, Mr. Kowchevski, and Mr. Fredericks comment on the show in character. I'm only about 15 minutes in because it was late, I was tired, and I went to bed before finishing. But so far that commentary is pretty funny. That was an inspired idea and they're pulling it off with real style.

It's really just as funny as the original movie. Having them comment as the characters twenty years on is perfect.
