2. Voting in the Stargate Fan Awards is open. I have a nomination in the humor (gen) category. I don't think I'm going to be voting in that category. With or without my story, I don't think I could make a decision. It's a very strong field and I can't figure out a way to single out just one. And voting for myself--even if I was sure that mine was the best--would just feel too weird.

3. *sigh* My Jack/Sara story (already overdue) proceeds, but at a very slow pace. I'd hoped to finish it this past weekend, but while I made progress there's still a good bit to go. Maybe I can finally get it together by the end of the week.

I'm beginning to fear that's the case.

It's a bit frustrating. I'm in love with the idea of the story, but the execution has been agonizing. And I have the sneaking suspicion that the appeal of it will be limited. But I've committed to this course, so we'll all have to live with the result. (Almost every time I send a story to be beta read I have some sort of note saying I'm not sure about this one. This time I'm *really* not sure about this one.)
