I now have enough painting experience to issue the following comment:

Bathrooms are a bitch to paint.

I painted the bathroom and hallway yesterday. I had some doubts about the color choice when I started putting it up, but now that it's all up and dry I think it's really pretty. Most of the paint made it onto the walls. I wish I'd gotten a little less paint on everything else. I also wish the previous owners hadn't put rubbery, adhesive type thing around all the doors in the hallway after they'd painted it red. I noticed it when I was taping everything. The true significance didn't hit me until I started painting and realized that paint doesn't stick to it. For now, I'm calling the red strip around all the doors an "accent" color. I think maybe if I score the adhesive with a utility knife I'll be able to strip it off and then touch up the paint around the doors. Blech. I wanted to be done with that part. But it is fun to be able to come up with my own color schemes for the walls.

It's called Whisper Violet. It's a Benjamin Moore paint. At first I thought it was a too subtle. It looked white when I was putting it on the walls. It dries darker and I think it wound up being very nice.
