random spelling note for the day

Judgment is a word that, to me, never, ever looks like it's spelled right.

With that spelling, shouldn't it be pronounce jud-guh-ment?

I have the same problem with that word. I'm a pretty good speller, I think, but that's a word that always kills me. But now I know that if it looks right to me, then I spelled it wrong. :)

Heh. I had to type the word for a label I was making, which prompted the post. But then before I actually posted it, I had to triple-check the spelling just to make sure that I wasn't being a complete idiot. (Suddenly I had visions of 15 people telling me "it is spelled judgement.")

well, the British folk will tell you it is spelled "judgement" . . . but we Amuricans like to be contrary and stuff. :)
