Where Katrina Hit Like a Tsunami I hadn't read about Plaquemines Parish. It's a sobering look at an area near New Orleans that actually had a very good, high levee surrounding them. And it didn't help. eek!

Whoa. At least it's focusing some more attention on the loss of marshland that would have protected the gulf coast more.

But gah. Very scary.
