This is when I miss renting

I'm sitting in my living room last night, happily watching television, feeling mildly grumpy that I would be returning to the world of work the next day, when suddenly I notice what sounds like dripping. I go down into the basement and there's a puddle along one wall. I call my dad and neither of us can find any obvious leaks around sinks or toilets, so I'm guessing something's happening in the wall somewhere. So today I get to have a plumber come out to investigate. This is one of the aspects of being a grown-up that's less fun.

The one thing that I felt bad about giving up when I gave up renting, was giving up just being able to make a phone call to management and then having them deal with things like this. It is a trade-off.
