We were just talking about that at the pub on Sunday... turns out dyadica and I discovered the clip the same way -- we saw the spoof on Family Guy (Stewie in a tux, performing "Rocket Man" and very clearly impersonating Shatner), and were very "wow, what kind of crack are they smoking?" until someone more in the know informed us (and then showed us) that such a thing had, in fact, actually happened.
