For those on my flist who are familiar with Stargate the movie. For purposes of background information regarding Sha're:

I think seen references that she learned to read in spite of that not being the norm for females. Is this correct? Are there other subtle or not-so-subtle examples of subversion or rebellion on her part that you can think of?

Upon further thought, I'm not averse to also coming up with an AU in which she survives. Will ponder further.
